When the dealership changed my manual gear oil (for some type of stupid proactive/preventive maintenance), changing gears started to become problematic, specially when the car is cold. Down shifting specially to the third, second, and the first gears became really hard. I needed to slow down to be able to shift down to these gears.
Although SAE 80W-90 is not what my car's manual is recommending, I took the risk of using it, and I couldn't be any happier. Shifting now is extremely smooth no matter how cold the car/weather is. I highly recommend it.
