(More customer reviews)I have used the racing and the non-racing version of Hy-Per Lube as directed and as engine makeup oil at half-strength (16 oz.) as an oil 'booster'.I have not noticed an increase in gas mileage (too many variables in my commute to accurately determine improvement in MPG).However, I have noticed quieter operation especially in cars with 4-cylinders and others with hydraulic valve lash adjusters/lifters ... even at 16oz ... which is why I continue to purchase since it cost 2x as much as typical motor oil.I have used with booth conventional and synthetic motor oils without fault.
I have also used, as recommended, both as a supplement to conventional gear oils for manual transmissions and differentials ... here I have noticed the smoother operation.
