I wanted something subdue for my old truck as it has to complement the existing gauges.The lettering and numbers are very close to the old chevy numbers.The white letter black ring/bezzle are match as well.
Wiring took a little longer than what I expected.You have to tie into a 12 volt power supply, an ignition switched power and a ground for the gauge to work, and you need to tie into the dash lights and ground to get the background lights to work.
This was much nicer using a small 16 gauge wire than running that small fragile plastic tube through the fire wall of the mechanical gauge to the block.The adapter that they sent with the gauge fit perfect in my 6.2 diesel.
I don't have many miles on the gauge yet, so I can't speak to the longevity of the gauge.
