(More customer reviews)I have used this on my Volvo S80 and XC70.I have noticed my average highway mileage improving on the S80 by a couple MPG's - 28.I have not noticed any effect on the city mileage.All in allquality filter for less than $[...] on amazon.com.The extra few bucks is definitely recouped in fuel savings over the $[...] OEM Mann/ Mahle, although I would change the oil at the same interval (I change at 5K - volvo recommends 7.5K).I think the Champs/aka Mobil One filters do a better job at extending the oil life through better filtering based on the oil color at 5K, but yield less flow and about the same MPG's as OEM.My guess is that the K&N filters claim of a high flow rate is true.

I scrolled across this much more scientific review of the K&N filter on the volvospeed site.I was really surprised to see that my generalized assumptions have some merit.
